A nationally recognized taxidermist and wildlife artist who is consistently being sought out and commissioned from clients throughout the world, because he is one of the top taxidermists in the world, doing work for organizations such as the Rahmat International Wildlife Museum and Gallery in Indonesia.
Mitch has won many California and Oregon State Taxidermy competitions, as well as much sought after National Taxidermist titles like, National Taxidermy Champion, 1996 Peoples Choice Taxidermist in Columbia, Missouri, and the North American Taxidermy Champion 1999 in the game head division and also the Life Size categories at the National Competition in Billings, Montana. The North American Taxidermy Champion is the National Taxidermy Champion in the division of excellence, the highest award you can achieve in a national taxidermy competition.
He has also been presented with the coveted WASCO award for the Most Artistic Taxidermy entry in 1995 and 2008. As well as First Place and Best of Category for a shoulder mount at the 1998 National FNAWS show in Reno, Nevada. Mitch was awarded the National Taxidermists Association Award of Excellence in 1996.
Mitch is renowned for his African Safari, Asian, and New Zealand taxidermy work. Mitch has hunted and collected specimens for references from all over the world, so you will get the most anatomically accurate mount to be found only at Wild West Wildlife Art Taxidermy Studio. As well as an accomplished taxidermist, Mitch is also a sculptor of his own custom line of sheep manikins, and is constantly adding to this line of manikins.
